Community report: Mad Max profile missing on 2022 Model Y with FSD 14.3
Unconfirmed: A Reddit user reports that their 2022 Model Y, which the post suggests is HW3 and which was recently updated to FSD 14.3 lite, does not show the Mad Max speed profile. According to the post, the author also has a 2026 Model 3 with hardware 4. They ask whether HW3 owners have that profile or whether the option appears only on HW4 vehicles. The post includes no replies, screenshots, or Tesla statement confirming the hardware requirements for this profile.
- Reddit report: 2022 Model Y with FSD 14.3 lite lacks Mad Max profile.
- No official Tesla confirmation of hardware requirements for the profile.
🔎 Why it matters: There is no official Tesla confirmation on whether the Mad Max profile requires HW4. The claim is a single report of a 2022 Model Y on FSD 14.3 lite that does not show that profile in the speed settings.
📈 Upside: Not applicable.
📉 Risk: If the profile's availability depends on hardware, HW3 owners would not have access to Mad Max with this FSD version.
