Editorial policy
Last updated: August 4, 2026. This page explains, in concrete terms, what HgYperDrive does with the Tesla news it aggregates, where AI is involved, and what is original reporting.
What the News Radar is
The News Radar aggregates news about Tesla, FSD, and electric vehicles from a fixed list of outlets (Electrek, Teslarati, Not a Tesla App, TeslaNorth, InsideEVs, Tesla Oracle, and others). An automated process detects new articles hourly, generates a summary and brief analysis with AI, and publishes them tagged by confidence level.
Where AI is involved
- Summary: each News Radar article's text is an AI-generated summary of the cited original article, not a line-by-line editorial rewrite.
- Analysis ("why it matters", "positive", "risk"): also AI-generated from the original article's content, not a personally verified opinion on each case.
- Confidence tier: each article is tagged Confirmed, Community, or Unconfirmed by an automated heuristic based on the source, not a manual fact-check of each claim.
What is HgYperDrive's own reporting
The FSD reviews (/fsd-version-review and the archive at /fsd-review) and trip logs (/fsd-trips) are real tests driven and documented by Jack Korber in Puerto Rico — this is first-hand reporting, distinct from the News Radar. When a News Radar article touches something already tested on the channel, it may include a note linking to the relevant review or trip.
Attribution and links
Every News Radar article shows the originating outlet and date, and links directly to the original source — that link is the authoritative reference, not the summary. Articles with insufficient content are marked so search engines don't index them, though they remain visible on the site.
Corrections and takedown
If a summary contains an error, or an outlet would prefer its article not be summarized in the News Radar, email [email protected] with the article link. We correct or remove the content as soon as we review it.
