FSD v14.3.6 ★ Latest version

Better with ambulances. Still fumbles the basics.

Much more natural behavior with an oncoming ambulance — no overcorrecting, no unnecessary braking. But everyday problems piled up: it struggled to get moving on the way out of the house, again approached speed bumps too fast, hesitated merging onto the main avenue, and ended up parked in a non-designated spot, blocking other cars.

Improvements (1)

  • Better ambulance behavior

Facing an oncoming ambulance in the opposite lane, behavior was much more natural than in past versions: no overcorrecting, no unnecessary braking. It recognized the situation, held its line, and kept driving.

Known issues (6)

  • Failed while parking

The most concerning part of the drive. Unable to find a clear space, the car entered the back of a business and ended up parked in an area that didn't look like a designated spot, without following an understandable pattern, and blocking other cars.

  • Struggled to get moving on the way out of the house

Had trouble engaging and starting to move. After several attempts the accelerator was needed to get it going, and it even started moving in reverse before correcting into Drive.

  • Speed bumps — still a recurring problem

Instead of consistently slowing down, it approached speed bumps too fast and required intervention at several points on the route. Still one of FSD's biggest weaknesses in this environment.

  • Hesitant merging onto the main avenue

The system didn't advance on its own and needed accelerator help to cross the lanes and position itself correctly.

  • Obstacle avoidance too abrupt

Facing a palm branch in the middle of the lane, it detected the obstacle and avoided it, but the maneuver was too abrupt and wide — perception is working, but trajectory planning still needs better calibration.

  • Wide turns and late lane selection

On a right-hand exit, it stayed too long on the main road and took the turn wider than necessary. Not a catastrophic failure, but it affects flow and driver confidence.
