Grok Bot Adds Plus Aliases to Email and Alias-Based Routines
Grok Bot now supports plus aliases for email, according to Sam Sokolin, who lists himself on X as building @bot at SpaceXSI. In a Wednesday afternoon post, he said users can send and receive email using dedicated aliases or set up routines that trigger only for mail sent to a specific alias. Elon Musk reposted it at about 5 PM PT. The attached image shows addresses such as +newsletters, +receipts, +signups and +travel at @mail.grokbot.com. Sokolin gave no details on plans, limits or rollout timing.…
- Plus aliases such as +newsletters, +receipts, +signups and +travel at mail.grokbot.com
- Routines can trigger only on mail sent to a specific alias
🔎 Why it matters: Alias-based routines, such as +newsletters or +receipts at mail.grokbot.com, allow automated mail to be separated from the rest of the inbox without creating new accounts.
📈 Upside: In theory, one routine could read only what arrives at +newsletters and another could file what arrives at +receipts, leaving everything else untouched.
📉 Risk: Not applicable.
