La v14.3.6 deja una impresión dividida. Por un lado, muestra una mejora clara al encontrarse con vehículos de emergencia. Por otro, continúa teniendo problemas en situaciones cotidianas que deberían ser relativamente sencillas: comenzar a moverse, pasar badenes, incorporarse a una avenida y estacionarse correctamente.

V14.3.6 leaves a mixed impression. On one hand, it shows a clear improvement when encountering emergency vehicles. On the other, it keeps struggling with everyday situations that should be relatively simple: getting moving, taking speed bumps, merging onto an avenue, and parking correctly.

El comportamiento frente a una ambulancia que venía en sentido contrario fue mucho más natural que en versiones anteriores. El vehículo no se apartó exageradamente ni frenó de forma innecesaria: reconoció la situación, mantuvo su trayectoria y continuó conduciendo. Una ambulancia en el carril opuesto no debería provocar una reacción de pánico, y en esta prueba el FSD se comportó de una manera mucho más calibrada.

Behavior facing an oncoming ambulance was much more natural than in past versions. The car didn't overcorrect or brake unnecessarily: it recognized the situation, held its line, and kept driving. An ambulance in the opposite lane shouldn't trigger a panic reaction, and in this test FSD behaved in a much better-calibrated way.

Fuera de ese escenario, la versión todavía muestra debilidades importantes en las carreteras locales de Puerto Rico. En la salida de la casa, tuvo dificultades para activarse y comenzar a moverse — después de varios intentos fue necesario usar el acelerador, e incluso comenzó a moverse en reversa antes de corregir y pasar a Drive. También volvió a fallar con los badenes: se aproximó demasiado rápido y requirió intervención en distintos puntos de la ruta.

Outside of that scenario, this version still shows real weaknesses on Puerto Rico's local roads. On the way out of the house, it struggled to engage and start moving — after several attempts the accelerator was needed, and it even started moving in reverse before correcting into Drive. It also failed again with speed bumps: it approached too fast and needed intervention at several points on the route.

La salida hacia la avenida principal tampoco fue convincente: el sistema no avanzó por sí solo y hizo falta ayudarlo con el acelerador para cruzar los carriles y posicionarse. Ante una rama de palma en medio del carril, detectó el obstáculo y logró evitarlo — la percepción está funcionando — pero la maniobra fue demasiado brusca y amplia, señal de que la planificación de trayectoria todavía necesita mejor calibración.

The merge onto the main avenue wasn't convincing either: the system didn't advance on its own and needed accelerator help to cross the lanes and position itself. Facing a palm branch in the middle of the lane, it detected the obstacle and avoided it — perception is working — but the maneuver was too abrupt and wide, a sign that trajectory planning still needs better calibration.

La búsqueda de estacionamiento fue la parte más preocupante de la prueba. Después de no encontrar un espacio claro, el vehículo decidió entrar en la parte trasera de un negocio y terminó estacionándose en un área que no parecía ser un espacio designado, bloqueando a otros carros — una decisión que un conductor humano normalmente reconocería como incorrecta. También hubo inconsistencias en los giros: en una salida a la derecha, permaneció demasiado tiempo en la carretera principal y giró de forma más abierta de lo necesario.

The search for parking was the most concerning part of the test. Unable to find a clear space, the car decided to pull into the back of a business and ended up parked in an area that didn't look designated, blocking other cars — a call a human driver would normally recognize as wrong. There were also inconsistencies in turns: on a right-hand exit, it stayed too long on the main road and turned wider than necessary.

La v14.3.6 no se siente como una mejora completa — es un avance específico y valioso en el manejo de ambulancias, acompañado de demasiados problemas pendientes en maniobras básicas de baja velocidad. The bottom line: 97% autonomy across 37.2 miles. V14.3.6 doesn't feel like a complete improvement — it's a specific, valuable step forward in handling ambulances, paired with too many unresolved problems in basic low-speed maneuvers. It still needs active supervision and frequent intervention on local roads.
